Through a partnership with ESE we offer specialist services in the supply and installation of Electrical Distribution Equipment up to 66000v.

Our services include the complete package from understanding customer’s requirements, supply & installation of equipment, cable installation and jointing, testing & commissioning.

We can cover all aspects of the industry, from Oil refineries, Steel, Plastic & Chemical works, Quarries & Water companies through to the Leisure Industry, Office Blocks, Hospitals, Pharmaceuticals  etc.

Project Services

We are able to offer the complete Turnkey Package for projects up to 66000v. After the initial enquiry has been received we can attend site to fully evaluate our customer’s requirements and design an appropriate solution.

As part of our services, we can:

• - Undertake project managing the programming of the installation so that projects are completed on time and in budget.
• - Supply and install all the necessary cabling and cable jointing works.
• - Supervise the delivery, off-loading and positioning of all types of HV & LV switchgear along with transformers.
• - Fully test and commission the installation.
• - Provide protection grading studies
• - Provide a Fault Location service.

New Transformers

Cast Resin

We offer Cast Resin transformers that have a core that is made from the highest quality cold rolled grain-oriented steel and step lap joints. The windings are completely embedded under vacuum conditions. To protect against corrosion all steel parts are coated with epoxy paint. We are able to supply a complete range of cast resin transformers 100 to 2500KVA primary voltage of up to 36KV, with a secondary voltage as low as 433v. Various enclosures offering different degrees of protection are available. In addition to the enclosures the customer can have external HV & LV cable boxes, internal gland plates, or have the LV bus bars brought out to a coupling piece that LV distribution bus bars can be directly connected to.

Liquid Filled

Transformers range from 500KVA to 2500KVA, primary voltage 11000v or 6600v and secondary voltage of 433v. Special Power transformers can also be supplied up to 66KV. All liquid filled transformers have robustly welded steel tanks with standard removable type panel radiators, HV & LV cable boxes suitable for either air or compound. They also come complete with a lockable off-circuit tap change switch, lifting lugs and jacking facilities, oil level indicator drain valve and temperature pocket as standard. Other optional extras include Bucholtz protection, Pressure Relief Devices, on-load tap changers, etc. Corrugated “Fin Wall” type transformers can also be supplied if required. The paint finish is powder coated of at least 100 microns thick giving an “enamel look” suitable for even the harshest environment. A range of HV & LV switchgear can be directly coupled onto the transformer to form a complete package sub-station. We can also offer Pole Mounted Transformers.

New High Voltage Switchgear

We able to supply different types of HV Switchgear, dependant on customer’s specific requirements. This can be in the form of Sf6, Vacuum & Air, and can be stand alone units or supplied as complete switchboards. Once supplied the switchgear can be installed, tested and commissioned as per manufacturers recommendations. We are able to supply bespoke framework to site the switchgear on to suit specific site conditions. To compliment the transformer range, we are able to offer the complete package which includes the supply and installation of Transformers, LV switchgear, HV & LV cabling including jointing, testing & commissioning. We can also carry out full grading studies of your existing system to make sure that the switchgear that is supplied is compatible.

Fully Refurbished High Voltage Switchgear

In addition to the supply and installation of New HV Switchgear we have a large selection of used HV Switchgear.

This is in the form of Oil, Sf6, Vacuum & Air. Some of the switchgear is no longer manufactured, ESE Ltd can save thousands of pounds and down time by being able to offer a fully refurbished extension unit to the existing switchboard.

This option may eliminate the need to undergo a major switchboard change saving production time and cost. As with the new switchgear we also offer the full package of Transformers (New & Fully Refurbished), LV switchgear, HV & LV cabling including jointing, testing & commissioning. Dependant on manufacturer’s recommendations all necessary modifications will be carried out prior to any equipment being despatched. Low Voltage Distribution Units

We also provide Low Voltage Distribution Units, able to supply a mixture of MCCB’s and ACB’s to suit your requirements.
The range of units can be free standing using a rear connected LV cable box or close coupled to your transformer via a specially designed throat arrangement.

The Changeover Panel, the latest addition to range, gives the security of a generator connection point without having to alter your existing LV switchboard. Housed in our standard lockable weatherproof enclosure, it can be mounted directly onto your transformer.

Your existing LV cable tails from your transformer will now be protected by one of the new ACB’s mounted in the Changeover Panel, and either a permanent or temporary generator can be connected to the remaining ACB. “Litton Veam” type connectors can be supplied on the side of the Changeover Panel to facilitate the connection of temporary generator cables.

We are able to supply single TP ACB’s or a mixture of MCCB’s and ACB’s in any configuration required. The MCCB range is easily inter-changeable. An MCCB rated at 200A can be increased to one rated at 630 by simply isolating the switchboard, unplugging the 200A and plugging in the 630A MCCB. All incoming and outgoing copper work is rated at 630A so there is no need to change this, saving valuable down time. If required larger MCCB’s can be supplied and installed as fixed units rather than plug in type.
